Episode 114 (Grow and Lead)

Welcome to this new episode where we provide some insights about the (THE LEADERSHIP HANDBOOK) book written by the American Author and Leader John C. Maxwell. The book provides important lessons for leaders to be successful and effective in their work and life.

The eighteenth lesson of the book is (The secret to a good meeting is meeting before the meeting). The important points under this lesson is the following:

- Meetings typically fail for two main reasons: the leader lacks a clear agenda, and others in the meeting have their own agendas.

- Meetings are meant to get things done. To do this, you should often hold a pre-meeting to prepare people.

- As a leader, you need to help followers see things the way you do. This requires time and commitment.

- Give influencers the right perspective before the meeting, and they will help you spread this perspective.

- Making change happen requires the trust of your followers. Holding a pre-meeting provides an opportunity to cultivate that trust.

- Good leaders are usually very good at understanding what's going on. They have strong leadership instincts. They are connected to their followers.

- Holding good and productive meetings is really a matter of preparation and planning.

- The more you prepare for a meeting beforehand, the less time you'll spend mitigating the damage afterward.

- Many leaders don't use a structured meeting format, and as a result, their meetings often spiral out of control.

Episode 113 (Grow and Lead)

Welcome to this new episode where we talk about (THE LEADERSHIP HANDBOOK) book written by John C. Maxwell. The book provides important lessons for leaders to be successful and effective.

The seventeenth lesson is (Experience is not the best teacher). The important points under this lesson are the following:

Experience isn't the best teacher; some people learn and grow from their experiences, while others don't.

- Everyone has some kind of experience; what matters is what they do with that experience.

- Our experiences often overshadow our understanding, and no matter how intelligent we are, our understanding will never fully match our experience.

- Lack of experience can be costly, but so can experience. It's a fact that you can't gain experience without paying a price.

- Experience gives you the test first and the lesson later. Gaining experience can be expensive, but it's not as costly as not gaining it.

- Rare are the people who make it a regular practice to reflect on their experiences, evaluate what went wrong and what went well, and learn from them.

- The school of life offers many challenging courses. Some we choose to take willingly, while others we find ourselves taking unexpectedly.
