The nineteenth lesson is (Be a communicator, not just a climber). The important points under this lesson are the the following:

- Reaching the top without connecting with our followers, at best, allows us to lead people without their loyalty.

- Connective people focus on moving where other people are. They think more about who is on the journey with them and how they can be alongside them.

- Relationship-oriented people focus more on building bridges.

- Communication-oriented individuals are more concerned with getting everyone on the same page so they can work together.

- The biggest problems professionals face aren't related to their competence, but rather to their interpersonal skills.

- The most influential leaders are always able to balance communication and advancement.

- Success is fleeting, but relationships endure. If you adopt a communication-oriented approach to leadership, you'll have a greater chance of success.
