'Life's greatest Lessons are gained from our losses'. This sentence is written on the cover of the book written by John C. Maxwell (SOMETIMES YOU WIN...SOMETIMES YOU LEARN). The book states 11 factors to reach to this objective.
The tenth factor is (Change...The price for learning). As it said that the only constant in this world is change. Unless we cope ourselves with changes, we might loss a lot although there could be many lessons that we can learn from these changes.
Unfortunately, many people resist change. Why? the author provides the following reasons:
1) Change might be like a personal loss.
2) Change seems to be confusing.
3) Change goes against tradition.
People do not like change and do not interact with it in a good way which lead to more problems for the them. This is why:
1) Most of the people change just enough to be away from problems not to solve these problems.
2) Most of the people do the same things on the same way and expect different results.
3) Most of the people see change as harm necessity instead of good opportunity.
4) Most of the people refuse to pay the immediate price for the change and they end up paying the highest price for change.
If anyone wants to prepare for change, growth and improvement, the following are advised by the author:
1) Change yourself.
2) Change your mentality.
3) Change your friends who are not able to grow.
4) Decide to live differently than normal people.
5) Forget what you know to learn what you do not know.
Change is difficult for all of us; however, it is necessary if we want to convert our losses to wins.
