Episode 52 (Grow and Lead)

Leadership is an important subject to study. In fact, it is very enjoyable since it has a lot of subjects within it. Reading about leadership science is necessary for all who seek success for their organizations. One of the useful books that I recommend to read is (THE 21 IRREFUTABLE LAWS OF LEADERSHIP) written by John C. Maxwell. It contains essential advices for leaders through 21 laws.

The twelfth law is called (The law of Empowerment) and it states that only secure leaders give power to others.

The important points under this law are the following:

- Theodore Roosevelt said: (The best CEO is the one who has enough sense to select the right men to achieve what he wants to achieve and enough self-control not to intrude on them while it is done).

- To lead others successfully, we should help them to discover their abilities, which means to be in their side, encourage them, provide them with authority and help them to succeed.

- Only people who are empowered will reach their maximum abilities.

- The first enemy for empowering others is the fear of losing what we have. Weak leaders are afraid that if they helped others, it would be possible that they will be dispensed themselves.

- Empowerment by nature will bring continuous change because it will encourage others to grow and innovate.

- One of the most important roles for leaders is to continuously improve their organizations. Successful leaders are not only ready for change, they are in fact changing factors.

- The best leaders have a strong sense of self-worth. They believe in themselves, their missions and their workers.

- We need the leaders to be brave people who focus on helping others and do not have a need for their job authority and they can easily leave it. However, these leaders will never lose their jobs.

Empowerment is an essential role for leaders. It has great benefits not only for the those who are empowered, but for the leaders also.

Episode 51 (Grow and Lead)

Leadership is an enjoyable world despite its challenges. One of the factors for this enjoyment is that leadership is a dynamic subject and learning opportunities are much. In his book (THE 21 IRREFUTABLE LAWS OF LEADERSHIP), John C. Maxwell provides the reader with many concepts about leadership through 21 intersting laws.

The eleventh law is called (The law of Inner Circle) and it states that a leader’s potential is determined by those closest to him.

The important points under this law are the following:

- Mother Teresa says: "You can do what I cannot do. I can do what you cannot do. We can both achieve great achievements".

- Think of any effective leader and you will find that he surrounds himself with a strong inner circle.

- In order to apply the law of inner circle, you should be careful in building your relationships. You should think to achieve your tasks and the success of those who follow you.

- When good leaders gather together, they share their experiences and experiments, ask each other and discuss ideas.

- The inner circle of people should add value to you personally. If they have negative impact, they will hold your ability of the good leadership.

- In order for your inner circle people to cooperate and work together, you need to care about the interaction among them.

- Recruit the best people you can find, develop them as much as you can and delegate them whatever you can delegate.

It is a fact that nobody can achieve alone. Leaders should know that and accordingly build a strong inner circle.
