Episode 61 (Grow and Lead)

Leadership is so important that developed countries and successful organizations will provide special care for it. (THE 21 IRREFAUTABLE LAWS OF LEADERSHIP) book written by John C. Maxwell is very useful for those who want to know what leadership is and what their main roles and rules are.

The twentieth one and the last law of this book is called (The Law of Legacy) and it states that A leader’s lasting value is measured by succession.

The important points under this law are the following:

If you wish to leave an impact as a leader on a future generation, you must be very careful and concerned about your legacy.

Most people simply live their life as it is, they do not direct it. People have to be proactive about how they live their lives.

If you want to create a legacy, you have to live it first. You should become what you would like to see in others.

Leaders often direct their efforts to organization, buildings, or other inanimate objects. But only people stay after we are gone, and everything else will go.

The best leaders lead today and they think of tomorrow by making sure they invest in the leaders who will carry on their legacy.

Applying all laws together might be challenging in the beginning; however, the first step is to know them then apply gradually. As we reach to the end of this book, I recommend all to read this book as it will add great value to whoever reads it.

Episode 60 (Grow and Lead)

(Leadership is leadership. wherever you go and whatever you do. The era is changing, technology is evolving, and cultures differ from place to place, but the principles of leadership are constant, whether for the ancient Greeks, the armies of the modern world, or the leaders of the global community. The principles of leadership do not change and do not change with the passage of time). Said by John C. Maxwell in his book (THE 21 IRREFUTABLE LAWS OF LEADERSHIP).

The twentieth law is called (The law of Explosive Growth) and it states that to add growth, lead followers, but to multiply growth, lead leaders.

The important points under this law are the following:

Becoming a leader developing leaders requires a very different focus and mindset than attracting and leading followers.

You can grow through leading followers; however, if you want to maximize your leadership and help your organization to reach its full potential, you need to develop leaders.

Good leaders lead for their followers and for what they can leave behind after their leadership time is up.

Leaders who develop leaders give rewards, resources, and responsibilities based on results. The more influence leaders have, the more opportunities they will get.

When leaders spend their time developing the leaders they attract, they are making a valuable investment in them. Every moment they spend helps increase their potential and influence.

- Developing leaders is not easy or simple. It requires a lot of time, effort and resources for the following reasons:

1. Difficulty in finding leaders.

2. Difficulty in gathering leaders.

3. Difficulty in keeping leaders.

Leadership development is cumulative. The more you invest in people and the longer that investment takes, the greater the growth and the greater the return.
