Welcome to this episode where we talk about (15 INVALUABLE LAWS OF GROWTH) book written by John C. Maxwell. The book is insisting on the importance of growth to reach one's potential.
In this episode, I will talk about the sixth law which is (The Law of Environment) and it states that 'Growth thrives in supportive environments'. The important points under this law are the following:
- It is possible to change and not grow, but it is impossible to grow without changing.
- Whether you succeed or fail in life is not related to your circumstances, but mainly due to your choices.
- If you are going to make changes, you need to make sure they are the right changes. How can you do that? Start by assessing where you are today and why you want to change.
- If you tried to change your environment and change yourself, growth will be faster and more successful.
- The people you associate with on a regular basis are called (your reference group). These people determine up to 95% of your success or failure in life.
- You cannot walk the journey of growth alone. You cannot if you wish to realize your potential. The most important factor in any person's environment is the people.
- Being in an environment that is best suited to growth will not help you much if you do not do everything you can to make the most of it.
- If you want to make changes in yourself and your environment, do not be preoccupied with your past.
