Welcome to this episode where we talk about (15 INVALUABLE LAWS OF GROWTH) book written by John C. Maxwell. This book is insisting on the importance of growth to reach one's potential.
In this episode, I will about the eleventh law which is (The law of Trade-Offs) and it states that 'You have to give up some things in order to grow'. The important points under this law are the following:
- There are many crossroads in life that represent opportunities for growth or regression.
- When we grow through change, we become active and in control of our behavior and emotions, and we become agents of change in our lives.
- The changes we make in our lives always start with changes we are willing to make personally, and this is usually not easy.
- You cannot change your personality but you can have a positive attitude and focus on the benefits of the upcoming trade-off.
- The cycle of change gives us windows of opportunity to make decisions. Sometimes we only go through this cycle once. If we miss it, we have wasted the opportunity.
- If you want to continue to grow and learn, you need to constantly make trade-offs, and those trade-offs will cost you.
- Even bad choices can ultimately help us change forever because they clarify our thinking and show us who we are.
- The equation for a good life is living where we belong with the people we love and doing the right thing on purpose.
- Who seeks to achieve little must sacrifice little, and he who seeks to achieve much must sacrifice much.
