Episode 6 (Grow and Lead)

I decided to call this series as (Grow and Lead) since all Mr. Maxwell's book are focusing on personal growth and leadership and both of them are cause and result of each other. This useful and nice book which I'm continuing to talk about (Talent is never enough) is supporting personal growth but in the same time it is essential for any leader.

In general, whoever follows what is written in the book will have more chances for success in life. The concepts stated in the book are great and very practical. I want also to remind about the main message of the book which is: Don't depend only on your talent. You should feed it with some choices which will magnify your talent. As Mr. Maxwell states, there are 12 choice one can follow so that he will achieve this magnification.

As I did in the last episode, I will mention one or two concept under each choice which summarizes what is this concept about.

Under the third choice (Initiatives activate my talent), the author states a fact that almost all people have good thinking, good ideas, and good intentions, yet many of them do not convert them into actions. Doing that requires initiative. In the same direction, the author also states that ideas have no values, intentions have no power and plans have no use if there are not followed by actions. Do it now.

In the fourth choice (Focus directs my talent), the author ensures that if someone wants to be success, he should focus on things he can do not things he can't do. In addition to that, he says that the mind doesn't seek towards achievements unless it has clear goals. That ensures the importance of focus.

Preparation is the main factor for success and victory. This is what author says under the sixth choice (Preparation positions my talent). Another useful statement said by author is: "The secret to success in life is to be ready for your role when its time comes".  Preparation is not about knowing everything, but putting yourself in a better position.

Under seventh choice (Practice sharpens my talent), the author states that if you want to become better and improve, you should practice. It will allow you to break your personal records and exceed what you did yesterday.

I will continue next choices in the next episodes.
