John C. Maxwell wrote a very useful book called (TODAY MATTERS). The main message of the book is (Focus on today to succeed in future).
The author suggests 12 daily practices to ensure this success. The first daily practice is related to ATTITUDE.
If someone has a healthy attitude, it will provide a huge potential for him or her. I totally agree with the author since having a healthy attitude will affect all our day if not our life. Still, it is not that easy to keep a healthy attitude everyday since there are many challenges faced during the day.
The author ensures the importance of having a healthy attitude through the following points:
- It will effect the result of any task more than any other factor.
- It will decide other's attitudes towards you.
- It may provide you winners perspective.
- It will provide you happiness.
An important question appears here, how can the person have a healthy attitude on daily basis? The author answers this question through the following:
- Take the responsibility of your attitude.
- Take decisions to change the areas that you are have bad attitudes on them.
- Think, act, talk and deal with others as the person you wish to be.
- Make sure that you appreciate people so much.
- Make sure to appreciate your life.
The author also mentions some control rules that will maintain the healthy attitude on daily basis through the following points:
- Know that your attitude needs daily fixes.
- Discover a positive thing in every thing.
- Search for a positive person in every situation.
- Say a positive thing in every conversation.
- Get rid of negative words from your dictionary.
- Appreciate people every day.
"If you want to change, you should start with your attitude and be sure about your ability to change and your ability to be the person you want". Attitude is a very important subject that we should take care every day if not every moment.
