Episode 36 (Grow and Lead)

(SOMETIMES YOU WIN...SOMETIMES YOU LEARN) is the title of a book written by John C. Maxwell where he explains the ways that someone can learn from losses in life so that they can be converted into success.

The ninth factor is (Bad Experiences...The perspective for learning). Bad experiences can benefit us if we allowed them to do that. They can help in the following points:

1- Accept your humanity:

No one is ideal or perfect because we are human. When we face bad experiences, we should allow them to remind us that we need to accept our flaws.

When you face bad experiences, learn to have a little mercy on yourself since you are a human.

2- Learn to laugh at yourself and on life:

Laughing will not solve problems permanently; however, it will let things more acceptable for some time.

We need to laugh sometimes to reduce the level of stress.

3- Keep your right perspective:

One of the writers said: (Faults are harmful when they occur; however, after years, these faults will be what we call experience).

Keeping right perspective while facing challenges is not that easy; however, it will be valuable to fight for it. The following will help to keep this right perspective:

- Do not judge yourself on a bad experience.

- Do not feel pity on yourself.

- Consider your failures as opportunities for learning and improvement.

4- Do not give up:

If you want to succeed in life, you should not give up.

5- Do not let your bad experience become your worst experiences.

6- Let your bad experiences take you to good experiences.

We should remember that bad experiences is bad only if we failed to learn from them. Good experiences are usually a result of learning from previous bad experiences.

Episode 35 (Grow and Lead)

One of the main differences between successful people and others is their actions and perspectives towards losses. Successful people know how to benefit from losses in order to improve more. The book (SOMETIMES YOU WIN...SOMETIMES YOU LEARN) written by John C. Maxwell is a very useful book to teach how to learn from losses.

The eighth factor is (Problems...The opportunities for learning). It is all the way we deal with problems so that they will be opportunities for learning. The author states the following:

1- Do not under estimate the problem. We should give it its volume with a positive mindset.

2- Do not over estimate the problem. The balance in seeing the problem will provide the benefit to the person.

3- Do not wait the problem to solve itself because it might become more complicated if we leave it without solutions.

4- Do not exacerbate the problem in case we deal with it in the wrong way.

In order to learn from problems, the author suggest the following points:

1- Wait for the problem; however, this does not mean to be worry all the time.

2- Exchange opinions about the problem. This will help to understand what is happening and what are other opinions.

3- Evaluate the problem through asking the following questions: What is the problem? and who is involved?

4- Estimate the problem.

Problems will bring opportunities if we have the positive perspective towards them in addition to the right approach to solve them.
