If you want my advice about useful leadership books, I will recommend you to read (THE 21 IRREFUTBLE LAWS OF LEADERSHIP) written by John C. Maxwell. It is a very useful book that will provide essential concepts for leaders through 21 laws.
The fifteenth law is called (The law of Victory) and it states that leaders find a way for the team to win.
The important points under this law are the following:
- Victorious leaders have one point in common: They are unwilling to accept defeat. The alternative to victory is not at all acceptable to them.
- When the pressure is high and constant, great leaders are at their best. That is when what is inside them comes to the surface.
- There are three elements for victory: common vision, skills diversity and a leader committed to achieve victory and push his people to their best potential.
- Teams only succeed when they have a common vision, no matter how much talent or ability they have.
- If you are dedicated to leading your team to victory, you will only be able to achieve that if you have the right people on your team.
All teams want victory; however, this will not be achieved without a leader who knows how to achieve victory in the right way.
