Welcome to this episode about (THE 17 INDISPUTABLE LAWS OF TEAMWORK) book written by John C. Maxwell. The book will provide a lot of useful and necessary concepts for teams to be effective and leaders to take care while leading teams.
In this episode, I will talk about the thirteenth law which is (The law of Identity) and it states that Shared values defines a team. The important points under this law are the following:
- Just as personal values influence an individual's behavior and direction, organizational values influence a team's behavior and direction.
- When tough times come - and they do for every team - values are what keep people together.
- If players do not know what their values are and do not live them, their chances of working together as a unit and reaching their full potential are very rare.
- Values help set the standard for team performance.
- When a team defines and embraces a set of values, team members still know that the team is moving in the right direction and making the right decisions.
- If you find teammates whose actions do not match the team's values, help them make the necessary changes to fit in with the rest of the team.
