Welcome to this episode about (THE 17 INDISPUTABLE LAWS OF TEAMWORK) book written by John C. Maxwell. The book provides a lot of useful and necessary concepts for teams to be effective and leaders to take care while leading teams.
In this episode, I will talk about the fifteenth law which is (The law of the Edge) and it states that The difference between two equally talented teams is leadership. The important points under this law are the following:
- Everything rises and falls because of leadership. If a team has good leadership, it can get all the other things it needs to reach the highest levels.
- Leadership is all about understanding the players, unifying them and getting them to play together as a team to reach their potential.
- With good leadership, everything gets better. Leaders are the lifters. They raise the performance of others to make them better than they were before. They improve their confidence in themselves and in each other.
- Good leaders know how to read people and find the key that will make team members take charge of their role on the team.
- A team can only reach its potential if every individual on the team reaches their potential. Effective leaders help each player do this.
- Good leaders do things just a little better than others do. The result is usually victory.
- The same person should not always lead the team in every situation. The challenge that arises in the present moment is what often determines the leader of that challenge because everyone on the team has strengths that make an impact.
