Welcome to this episode where we talk about (THE LEADERSHIP HANDBOOK) book written by John C. Maxwell. The books provides important lessons and concepts for leaders to be successful and effective.
The ninth lesson of the book is (To see how a leader is doing, observe his followers). The important points under this lesson are the following:
- The more you understand leadership, the more you'll see how leaders impact those around them.
- If you want to know if a leader is successful and effective, don't look at or listen to the leader. Look at their followers.
- Every time a good leader makes the right move for the right reasons, the relationship strengthens and the team improves.
- As a leader, you should never expect the loyalty of others before you built a relationship with them and earned their trust.
- People will only become best through change, and they are unlikely to change unless there is an effective leader facilitating the process.
- The best leaders help people beyond their jobs; they help them in their lives.
- If a team, department, or organization isn't successful, the responsibility falls on the leader.
- Leaders think differently. They realize that they have a role in the achievements of their followers. Their personal success as leaders is measured by the performance of their followers.
-Leadership is about elevating a person's vision to higher aspirations, raising human performance to higher standards, and building a person's character beyond its natural limits.
