- The biggest obstacle leaders face can be their own personal achievements. The greatest harm to tomorrow's success is today's success.

- By avoiding risk, we actually jeopardize what is most important in life: growth, reaching our full potential, and making a genuine contribution to a common goal.

- The great leaders of history were great not for what they possessed or acquired, but for what they dedicated their lives to achieving. They made a difference.

- If you study the lives of great men and women, you will find that they were all determined toward one very important goal

- Leaders cannot soar on the wings of mediocrity. If something is worth doing, give it your all or don't do it at all.

- Leaders who build followers add to what they can accomplish. Leaders who develop leaders multiply their own capabilities.

- A leader's first responsibility is to define the truth, and their last is to say thank you. In between, the leader is a servant.

- One of the greatest values of guidance is the ability to foresee what others cannot see and help them navigate the path to their destination.

Episode 117 (Grow and Lead)

Welcome to this new episode where we talk about (THE LEADERSHIP HANDBOOK) book written by John C. Maxwell. The book provides important lessons for the leaders to be effective and successful.

The twenty first lesson is (The influence should be borrowed but never given away). The important points under this lesson are the following:

- When good people manage things, everyone is happy, but when the leader is bad, everyone is resentful.

- If you want to make an impact, then work on your own impact. If you want to add value to others, help them work on theirs.

- Any leader who doesn't uplift the lives of others isn't fulfilling the highest purpose of leadership

- If leaders can't ultimately lead on their own, then they aren't of much value to the organization.

- People who lack influence of their own cannot pass that influence on to others.

- Giving influence to people who cannot or will not use it appropriately is a waste of the leader's time, effort, and resources.
