Welcome to this new episode where we talk about (THE LEADERSHIP HANDBOOK) book written by John C. Maxwell. The book provides important lessons for leaders to be successful and effective.
The twentieth lesson is (The choice you make, makes you). The important points under this lesson are the following:
- Perhaps our greatest power in life is the power to choose. Without a doubt, choices are the most determining factor in how our lives unfold.
- There is a choice you must make in everything you do, so remember that ultimately, the choice you make makes you.
- It is our choices that show who we truly are, far more than our abilities.
- Great leaders are never satisfied with their current performance levels. They not only demand the best from those around them, but they also continuously push themselves to reach their full potential.
- Excellence is the gradual result of constantly striving to do better.
- Never try to be better than others, but be the best you can be.
- Opportunities may come in many forms and go in any direction, but one thing is certain: they can only be seen and seized in the present.
- The choices we make truly shape us. With every choice, we change for better or for worse.
- The key choices you make regarding how you manage yourself and lead others not only indicate what kind of leader you are, but also determine what kind of leader you will become.
