Episode 124 (Grow and Lead)

Welcome to this new episode where we talk about the (LEADER SHIFT) book written by John C. Maxwell. The book objective is to help leaders to adapt, grow and make intentional changes in their leadership approach to remain effective in a constantly changing world.

The first chapter of the book raise an important question before moving into the changes (Shifts) need from leaders. This question is: Why every leader need to perform leader shift? The important points in this chapter are as follows:

- While management accepts stability, leadership offers principles that operate in the face of the unknown.

- Life moves much faster now. The speed at which we must cope with change and uncertainty can be frantic

- The more agile, adaptable, and flexible we are, the faster we can move and change.

- As the saying goes, coming in second is being the first to lose. That's why speed and agility are so important.

- As leaders, we can't afford to procrastinate or take too long to evaluate. We must adapt, reassess our position, and continue to adapt.

- Leader shift is the ability and willingness to make a leadership change that will positively enhance both organizational and personal growth.

- Good leaders adapt, transform, and never stand because they know the world around them is constantly changing.

- If you want to be successful as a leader, you need to learn to be comfortable with ambiguity and to constantly adapt.

- Every improvement you make as a leader will require a leadership transformation that changes how you think, act, and lead.

- We need to use a mental cleansing tool to get rid of old thinking and improve the health of our leadership.
