Losses are great source for success in case people are able to learn from them. There are several factors to develop this learning mindset. In his book (SOMETIMES WE WIN...SOMETIMES WE LEARN), John C. Maxwell explains these factors.
The third factor for learning from losses is (Responsibility...the first step towards learning). Responsibility is something we need to be ready in order to take it. It is the most important ability someone can own as the author states.
What will happen when we DO NOT take responsibility?
- We will grow victim mindset which leads to focus on things which we are not able to do instead of things we are able to do.
- We will have illogical perspective of how life is going.
- We will go continuously into 'Mental Blaming' which means finding someone else to blame always.
- We waive our option to control our life.
- We will remove any chances to grow in order to success.
On the other hand, the following things will happen when we LEARN responsibility:
- We will take the first step towards learning.
- We will see things right.
- We will stop repeating our failures.
- We will be stronger.
- We will support our words with actions.
Taking responsibility is a choice and whoever take it will have a better chance for success in life besides improving learning mindset which is also necessary for success.
