Welcome to this episode about (THE 17 INDISPUTABLE LAWS OF TEAMWORK) book written by John C. Maxwell. This book will provide a lot of useful and necessary concepts for teams to be effective and leaders to care about while leading teams.
In this episode, I will talk about the tenth law which is (The law of The Price Tag) and it states that the team fails to reach its potential when it fails to pay the price. The important points under this law are the following:
- If a team is not reaching its potential, ability is rarely the problem. Resources are rarely the problem either. The problem is almost always paying the price.
- If everyone does not pay the price for winning, then they will all pay the price for losing.
- The higher position you are, the greater the price you have to pay even for making minor improvements.
- In order to improve, change or continue to win as a group, the team has to pay the price, and the individuals in it have to pay the price as well.
- Each person must decide deeply whether a goal is worth the price they must pay for it or not. But each person must know the price they are expected to pay for the team to succeed.
- Teamwork does not come cheap, it costs you time, which means you pay for it with your life.
- When you give your best to the world, the world will return the favor.
