Episode 97 (Grow and Lead)

Welcome to this new episode where we talk about (THE LEADERSHIP HANDBOOK) written by John C. Maxwell. The book provides important lessons and concepts for leaders to be effective and successful.

I will start with the first lesson of the book which is (If you are alone at the top, you are making a mistake). The important points under this lesson are the following:

- One of the best ways to train others is to bring them along to observe what you are doing, provide some training, and then let them experience it for themselves.

- If you find yourself completely alone, it means no one is following you. And if no one is following you, you are not truly a leader.

- Lifting people to a new level is a requirement for effective leadership. This is difficult to achieve if you are too far from your followers.

- Good leaders are like tour guides who know the area because they have been there before and do everything they can to make the journey enjoyable and successful for everyone.

- When you bring people who would not have made it to the top without you, you experience a feeling like no other in the world felt.

- Good leaders who stay connected with their followers go to their level. It is the only way to reach them and pull them up.

- If you are a leader and you feel isolated, you are not doing it right. A leader's isolation is a choice.

- If your main motivation for leadership is career advancement and professional advancement, you have a risk becoming a position-focused leader who plays king of the hill with colleagues and employees.
