Welcome to this episode where we talk about (THE LEADERSHIP HANDBOOK) written by John C. Maxwell. The book provides important lessons and concepts for leaders to be successful and effective.
The seventh lesson of the book is (Get into your strength zone and stay there). The important points under this lesson are the following:
- If you are a young leader and still unsure where your strengths lie, don not be disappointed. Be patient and keep trying to discover them.
-Success is knowing your purpose in life, growing to your fullest potential, and planting seeds that benefit others.
- Improvement is always linked to ability. The greater your natural ability, the greater your potential for improvement.
- You cannot change the world by offering nothing but scraps or performing at middle level. Your best self is the only thing that adds value and elevates others.
- People who realize their potential spend less time wondering: What am I doing right? And more time wondering: What am I doing well?
- Your strengths will catch the attention of others and attract them to you. If others consistently praise you in a particular area, start developing it.
- The best leaders are able to recognize the potential and limitations of others, as well as the ability to assign their followers to the positions where they will perform at their best.
- The more people know how well they fit into the team, the more they will want to make the most of that harmony and maximize their contribution.
- Working on a weakness within your strength zone will always provide better results than working on a strength within your weakness zone.
